ABOUT THE GAME

Doge Blocks game overview

As play gets underway, Doge Blocks replaces ordinary polyominoes with puppy-shaped pieces. Each level supplies a bounded map that must be covered completely without wasting space. The immediate job is to arrange every dog-shaped block so the entire map is filled. Test a placement, inspect the remaining outline, and reorganize pieces when the leftover gaps no longer match any dog. Complexity rises across the level sequence. After the basics settle, later levels introduce more complex spaces and less obvious Doge placements. For the puppy-block map filling puzzle, one relevant constraint is that a level remains unsolved while gaps or overlapping placements prevent a full map.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Before you start

The rules are easy to read but the spatial decisions become tighter. Progress depends on fitting the whole set, not merely finding a place for the first piece.

GETTING STARTED

How to play Doge Blocks

Begin with the largest or most awkward Doge and compare its outline with corners in the map. Keep flexible central space for smaller pieces.

If the final gap has the wrong shape, move an earlier block rather than forcing overlap. Use the remaining pieces as clues to the intended arrangement.

CONTROLS

Controls and device setup

Place each Doge block by holding the mouse button and dragging it; on touchscreens, keep finger contact while moving the shape inside the map.

Tips for Doge Blocks

  1. Place irregular puppy shapes in matching corners before filling broad areas.
  2. Check the outline left behind after each move, not only the current fit.
  3. Restart the arrangement early when a trapped gap matches no remaining block.
