Protect the Thief game overview
Protect the Thief reduces a heist to a grid where every step can cross a guard’s dangerous line. Obstacles create safe cells and choke points, and the treasure must be approached with an exit route already considered. Collect the level's treasure without allowing guards to catch the thief. Later levels add harder layouts, more threatening patrols, and less direct paths to the loot. Entering a guard’s detection area or being caught ends the theft before the valuables can be secured.

Before you start
Players study the grid, trace a complete route to the treasure, move between protected spaces, wait when a patrol blocks the next step, and leave once the loot is collected.
GETTING STARTED
How to play Protect the Thief
Plan beyond the treasure square before making the first move. A safe approach can become a trap if the exit crosses the same guard’s detection path.
Wait in a protected cell when immediate movement would expose the thief. Collect the most vulnerable item while nearby escape lanes are still open.
