ABOUT THE GAME

Retro Tower Defense game overview

Enemy waves travel toward a base that must be protected by placed defensive towers. The available tower types carry different abilities, so coverage, attack role, and position matter more than simply filling every space. A strong layout catches enemies repeatedly as they follow the route. Later waves become more difficult and require upgrades to the defenses already established. Resources invested in a poorly placed weapon cannot cover a missed section of path, while a well-positioned tower gains value across many attacks. The run fails when the defense cannot stop enemies from reaching the base.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Before you start

Preparation windows are followed by moving waves, giving time to place or improve weapons and then observe which part of the route still leaks enemies.

GETTING STARTED

How to play Retro Tower Defense

Place the first towers where their range covers a long bend or repeated section of path. Combine abilities so one enemy type does not bypass the entire defense.

After each wave, reinforce the position that allowed the most progress toward the base. Upgrade proven towers before spreading resources too thinly across new placements.

Tips for Retro Tower Defense

  1. A tower beside a bend usually attacks longer than one facing a straight edge.
  2. Upgrade the busiest firing position before adding a remote low-impact defense.
  3. Watch one full wave to identify leaks before changing several towers at once.
