Yarn Untangled game overview
The purpose of Yarn Untangled is this: separate the coloured yarn strands until no lines remain crossed or knotted. Progress in Yarn Untangled comes from the fact that new levels introduce denser arrangements whose individual yarn balls are harder to reposition cleanly. The main danger in Yarn Untangled is that moving one ball without checking its connected strand can create additional crossings elsewhere. Start with a ball connected by a short strand near the edge of the tangle. Move one endpoint at a time so the effect on every crossing stays visible.
GETTING STARTED
How to play Yarn Untangled
Drag a yarn ball with the mouse or touchscreen and watch its full connected strand. Move an outside ball away from the cluster to create working space around the knot.
Reposition the remaining balls until every strand can travel between its endpoints without crossing. Use empty corners as temporary holding areas while separating a dense central knot.
CONTROLS
Controls and device setup
Desktop: hold the left mouse button on a yarn ball, drag it, and release to place it. Mobile: press the ball with one finger, move it, then lift your finger.
