Falling Gem

Swap adjacent jewels to form lines of at least three; cleared diamonds, rubies, emeralds, and sapphires make room for fresh falling matches.

ABOUT THE GAME

Falling Gem game overview

A grid of colored jewels provides the entire puzzle space. Diamonds, emeralds, rubies, and sapphires disappear when a swap completes a horizontal or vertical line of three or more identical pieces. Empty cells are immediately filled as the gems above fall downward. That refill can create another match without a second move, so the best swaps are judged by both the first line and the arrangement left behind. Points accumulate from successful clears, with larger combinations and cascades offering a more productive board than isolated groups.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Before you start

Each turn begins with a board scan, continues with one adjacent exchange, and ends only after all resulting falls settle. The changed layout then supplies the next matching decision.

GETTING STARTED

How to play Falling Gem

Find two neighboring gems whose exchange will complete a row or column. Check both destinations before moving, since the displaced jewel can sometimes contribute to a second line on the opposite side.

After a clear, wait until replacement pieces finish dropping before selecting again. Favor moves low on the grid when they can disturb several rows and create more opportunities for a cascade.

CONTROLS

Controls and device setup

Drag a gem across an adjacent neighbor using the mouse; make the equivalent swipe with a fingertip on mobile.

Tips for Falling Gem

  1. Look for four-gem lines before settling for the first visible three-piece match.
  2. A low horizontal clear moves several columns and may expose linked combinations.
  3. Recheck the whole grid after a cascade because the strongest move may relocate.
