ABOUT THE GAME
Line 98 Classic game overview
Colored balls occupy a square grid with open cells between them. One ball may be relocated to any empty space connected by a clear path. A horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line of at least five matching colors disappears and contributes points. Every move also introduces three random balls, so an open route can vanish quickly when a line is not completed. The score rises through successful clears, but board space is the resource that keeps the puzzle alive. Once the grid is full and no move remains, the attempt is over.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Before you start
Most turns involve tracing a path before committing a piece. A promising destination must both extend a color line and leave enough open cells for the three incoming balls.
GETTING STARTED
How to play Line 98 Classic
Select a ball, then touch an unoccupied cell that it can reach without crossing another piece. Check diagonals as well as straight rows when deciding which group to extend.
Complete five-ball lines early enough to recover space from the random additions. If no immediate clear exists, arrange two colors at once so the following move has more than one useful option.
CONTROLS
Controls and device setup
Tap a colored ball to select it, then tap a reachable empty grid cell to move that piece.

Tips for Line 98 Classic
- Preserve a central corridor because it connects more destinations than an edge lane.
- Build toward six balls when the extra placement also blocks an incoming route.
- Use the previewed random additions, when visible, to avoid their intended cells.
